Suzuki sets new standards for four-stroke outboard engines
Ten years after Suzuki launched the revolution in four-stroke outboard engines with the award-winning DF60 and DF70 models, the company is redefining the category with the new DF70A, DF80A and DF90A models. As the first representatives of the new four-stroke generation, they are flagship models in terms of progress and performance. These include the electronically controlled, sequential multi-point fuel injection system, a powerful gear reduction ratio of 2.59:1 and a maintenance-free, self-adjusting timing chain, which was first used on the DF40/DF50 in 1999. The engines also feature the proven offset drive shaft technology, which, together with the newly developed engine block, makes the DF70 a powerful four-stroke outboard engine. Thanks to their compact, lightweight design, all three models are ideal for a wide range of boat types. This Suzuki outboard motor complies with the European EU1 standard and is also approved for use on Lake Constance.
