Yamaha T 9.9 PS - Compact outboard with reliable performance
A reliable workhorse with unique qualities: The T 9.9hp has enormous torque and sets new standards in terms of performance and fuel efficiency - combined with smooth, low-vibration operation. The patented twin thrust propellers deliver impressive forward and reverse thrust and make maneuvering even heavy boats a breeze. There are also many innovative features such as a battery-free electronic fuel injection system (EFI system), a powerful alternator, a practical trim and tilt system with a wide adjustment range, an integrated carrying handle for convenient transportation and full compatibility with our DNG digital instruments.
Steering resistance
The 15hp is easy to steer and effortless to maneuver thanks to its wide range of functions. These range from the front-mounted gearshift to the adjustment of steering and throttle resistance with a lever and a cable starter for low loads. A built-in carrying handle on the steering console and rear supports make the engine even more comfortable to handle and easier to transport.
PrimeStart™
This engine is as easy to start as a car - even when it's cold. The PrimeStart™ starting system, available exclusively from Yamaha, starts the engine as soon as you activate the electric or manual starter.
Powerful alternator
No more starting reserves? Never. The powerful alternator always supplies sufficient starting current - even after long periods of idling or when operating several accessories at the same time when driving in the lower speed range.
Shallow water driving position
With Yamaha's shallow water riding position, you can approach the shore with complete peace of mind. Whether in the murky waters of a lake or in crystal-clear coastal waters - the propeller is always sufficiently protected and you can get as close to the shore as necessary.
Start lock with gear engaged
With so much drive power, an accidental start can be an unpleasant experience. With the Yamaha starter lock, you don't have to worry about such eventualities. On models with a manual starting system, the starter is locked as soon as the transmission is not in neutral. On models with an electric starting system, the power supply to the starter is interrupted until no gear is engaged.
Fresh water rinsing system
The easily accessible, front-mounted connection allows you to rinse salt and dirt from the engine's water channels without the engine having to run: simply connect a hose and get started. This is an effective way of preventing corrosion and extending the service life of your engine.
