The Del Castillo family sends their event boat back to the Steinhuder Meer

After two years, the new owners of the boatbuilding company in Mardorf have settled in: EK Marine Service is starting the new season at Steinhuder Meer with a showroom and partners from the neighborhood.

Mardorf. They have used the coronavirus lockdown to set up on site and make contacts. Now the brothers Christopher and Francesco Del Castillo are starting the new season at Steinhuder Meer with their EK Marine Service. They have now set up a showroom with numerous motorboat models at their location on Mardorfer Straße.

Boats with combustion engines and electric motors on offer

These include numerous models with combustion engines, as are used on other bodies of water – on the Steinhuder Meer, private individuals are only allowed to use the quiet electric motors so as not to disturb the birdlife too much.

The event boat that the brothers have now put back on the water together with partners also has such an electric motor. Alexander Sorg and Julia Kashchuk from the Hanover-based Lilacard bonus system were on board for the season opening, as was the Neustadt sparkling wine and wine merchant Jochen Plinke. His traditional company Duprés-Kollmeyer has its warehouse right next to the boat hall – so the collaboration was an obvious choice. Another partner is Julian Lopez from the internet wine merchant Weindomaine.
